\"\"On 29-30 January 2024, we hosted German cleaning specialists Stefan Lehmann and Michael Difiglia from Floorzilla, who introduced us to the efficiency of diamond-enriched mops and cleaning pads. The training was fully attended, and participants eagerly tested the effectiveness of this innovative solution.<\/p>\n

The invitation of the experts was supported by the Erasmus+ consortium’s learning mobility project no. 2<\/span>023-1-EE01-KA121-VET-000133792<\/span>, and the training was free for participants.<\/p>\n

The training introduced diamond mops and cleaning pads of varying activity levels, designed for both maintenance and deep cleaning. The theory was explained, and practical dirt removal tests were conducted. Diamond mops and pads clean when moistened with water only, eliminating the need for additional cleaning agents.<\/p>\n

Mechanics are crucial in cleaning, a point highlighted by Dr. Zinner. When comparing diamond mops with standard microfiber mops, we observed a notable difference: the diamond mop was easier to maneuver, even though it required greater mechanical action for effective cleaning. Using this type of mop enables more efficient dirt removal with reduced physical exertion.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, various discs and cleaning pads designed for floor maintenance machines were presented. These are available for different machines and with varying abrasiveness. They can be utilised for both routine maintenance and deep cleaning.<\/p>\n

Experience from Germany demonstrated that the use of diamond-enriched mops and pads reduced working time by 20%, water consumption by 80%, and chemical usage by 95% compared to cleaning with microfiber mops. Therefore, employing diamond mops and pads offers a more ergonomic and environmentally sustainable cleaning solution. Naturally, the overall benefit depends on the specific metrics being compared and the existing cleaning practices.<\/p>\n
