Cooking inevitably generates a significant amount of dirt – primarily greasy residue, but also dust, fallen crumbs, food waste, and additionally, sediment and wet grime in the sink. Thus, the kitchen is challenged by many different types of dirt. Maintaining kitchen cleanliness is crucial, as these surfaces come into contact with food.

Keeping the Kitchen Clean is Made Easy by Applying the Following Principles:

Remove dirt immediately after it appears; fresh dirt is easier to remove.

Removing greasy dirt is easier if you use hotter water, as grease becomes liquid.

Always wash dishes with a dish brush, as a dish sponge is always contaminated. A dish brush is easier to keep clean and hygienic. Its bristles perform excellent mechanical work, even in narrow spaces. It is advisable to use professional hygiene brushes that can withstand high temperatures without the bristles deforming.

The kitchen countertop can be easily cleaned by applying warm water with your hands, spreading it, and collecting it with a countertop squeegee or other mechanical means. If necessary, you may add a small amount of dish soap, but the surfaces must then be rinsed thoroughly.

Once you have finished cleaning, dry all surfaces with a microfiber cloth.

If the oven is dirty or surfaces have burnt-on grease, soap-filled steel wool pads are an excellent aid.

On top of cabinets, dust accumulates, and in the kitchen, it adheres more strongly to surfaces due to grease. Place old newspapers on top of the cabinets and replace them periodically. This allows you to roll up the greasy dust with the newspaper, eliminating the need for cleaning.

Prevent sink blockages. To do this, occasionally pour a little baking soda and then hot water down the sink drain.

Prevent limescale buildup on the kettle’s internal surface. To do this, wash the inside of the kettle clean with a dish brush after each use.

Stubborn dirt is easier to remove if it is first soaked. For example, if there is burnt-on food residue from a boil-over on the stove, wet a paper towel with warm water and place it on the dirt, allowing it to act for about 10 minutes.

The kitchen is a part of the home where households typically spend a lot of time.
