From 13-15 May 2024, Puhastusekspert led a study trip to Amsterdam. Participants included consortium members from Tartu University Hospital, North Estonia Medical Centre, East Tallinn Central Hospital, P. Dussmann, J\u00e4rvamaa Hospital, Arkaadia O\u00dc, SOL Baltics O\u00dc, and Elron Liinirongid AS. The study trip was supported by Erasmus+ consortium learning mobility project no. 2023-1-EE01-KA121-VET-000133792.

During the study trip, participants received training from the following companies: Duplex International, Kiehl KG, Vileda Professional, Johannes Kiehl KG, HAKO Ground & Garden, and Unger Professional. We explored professional floor care machines, combined robotic floor scrubbers, sustainable cleaning chemicals, modern cleaning trolleys with digital systems, microfiber products, and new possibilities in window cleaning. <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Amsterdam Interclean 2024 Cleaning Trade Show<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Amsterdam Interclean 2024 is the world’s largest professional cleaning trade show, influencing the entire cleaning and hygiene industry. The Interclean exhibition offers exciting opportunities to discover the latest cleaning news and to explore innovative product solutions from various manufacturers. The significance of the exhibition in the cleaning world can be summed up with the saying: ‘If you\u2018re not taking part in the Amsterdam cleaning exhibition, you don\u2018t exist.’ <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sustainability and durability were key themes at the exhibition this year; it was fascinating to observe that all of Europe seemed to speak the same language when it came to this topic. Various manufacturers presented environmentally friendly production processes, and their production processes specify the proportion of recycled material each product must contain to qualify for relevant eco-labels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In summary of the entire exhibition, it can be said that digitalisation in cleaning is rapidly gaining momentum. Machine manufacturers, soft paper producers, and manufacturers of trolleys and various accessories all showcased new digital solutions. All these efforts aim to enhance cleaning quality, draw conclusions from collected data, and optimise cleaning processes. The necessity of data collection is also considered one of the biggest growing trends in the entire cleaning sector. Increasingly, AI is being incorporated into various product development phases. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the cleaning exhibition, we also explored hotel cleaning. The housekeeping manager of Hotel van de Vijesel provided participants of the study trip with a comprehensive cleaning tour, made particularly exciting by the chance to observe real-time hotel room cleaning. It was notable that this hotel extensively uses various strongly scented cleaning agents, whereas in Estonia, there is a growing trend towards using clean water and microfiber, with cleaning agents used only as needed rather than for prophylactic purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We gathered a great deal of cleaning-related information during this learning mobility. A significant advantage of the trip was hearing about the experiences of other countries \u2013 this broadens our perspectives and enables us to adapt more quickly to various changes. At the end of a study trip, the greatest reward is always the gratitude of fellow participants for the excellent organisation and professional content. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
