On October 2, an Assessment Training Was Held for Vocational Exam Assessors in the Cleaning Sector!

Puhastusekspert has been a vocational qualification awarding body in the cleaning sector since 2004, and since then, 3050 vocational certificates have been issued. Additionally, we have twice received the ‘Recognized Qualification Awarding Body’ quality label from the Estonian Qualifications Authority. The aim of the vocational qualification system is to support the competitiveness of Estonian employees – ensuring employees are competent, possessing the necessary knowledge, skills, proficiencies, and attitudes for successful activity.

During vocational exams, we assess individuals’ competencies regardless of where or how their learning has taken place. Assessors play a crucial role in vocational exams. Assessors themselves hold at least a Level 4 Cleaner-Supervisor vocational qualification and have extensive experience in the field.

To ensure our assessors feel confident and conduct assessments as expected, a joint assessment training was held on October 2 in Nelijärve for vocational exam assessors and teachers of cleaning-related subjects from vocational schools. The training was conducted in a manner appropriate for the times – most activities took place outdoors, and masks were worn and social distancing maintained indoors. The final stage of the day was a scooter hike – a part of the training where participants could enjoy nature while also reviewing the fundamental principles of assessment!

We are proud and grateful! All 26 assessors from various companies attended to gather good ideas for the further development of qualifications and exams! We hope that this memorable day will help conduct assessments even more relevantly and fairly!
