Participation in the International Project “Safe and Effective Cleaning in Pandemic Situation”

We are participating in a new international project “Safe and Effective Cleaning in Pandemic Situation”, and the Erasmus+ project’s kick-off meeting already took place in Tallinn on January 24-25, 2022.

The project idea was conceived during the initial months of the pandemic. Puhastusekspert OÜ was also involved in developing cleaning guidelines in Estonia for the Health Board. The experience soon led to the realization that action needed to be taken. In the teaching, development, and dissemination of information regarding cleaning, there are numerous potentials and opportunities to safeguard people’s health and ensure that contributions to cleaning are appropriate. This is not achievable by a single organization and requires collaborative partners. Thus, the project idea was conceived, involving only highly professional and essential partners, each with a defined role. Based on the project’s objectives, it is crucial to process information in English, French, and German. Competence in processing and analyzing scientific research, an independent science-based approach to the cleaning recommendations provided in the project, and a high level of cleaning expertise were also vital. As the lead partner of the project, Puhastusekspert possesses experience as a leader of similar projects, in addition to being a partner in various other projects. Drawing on previous experience, we assembled the project team: Propuhtaus Finland – Tarja Valkosalo has extensive experience in processing cleaning-related scientific research and compiling cleaning-related books and articles, Tuula Suontamo Oy Finland – PhD Tuula Suontamo has conducted numerous independent studies and experiments in the field of cleaning, IFPRA Normandie France – extensive experience in project management, including projects to improve hospital cleaning, SVS B.V. Netherlands – extensive experience in developing professional cleaning, training, and educational literature, Rakvere Reaalgümnaasium Estonia – possesses expertise in creating videos and educational materials.

The project duration is 3 years, and during this time, we plan to:

  • to analyze the COVID-19 cleaning guidelines of at least 15 countries;
  • to investigate the actual adherence to COVID-19 guidelines;
  • to develop an easy-to-use self-audit;
  • and much more.
