How much time on average does it take to clean your home?

Time is an invaluable resource. Every day, people complain about having no time and how the pace of life is simply getting out of hand. Everybody has the same 24 hours per day. The value of this time and how enjoyably we spend it comes down to the decisions we make.

A clean home, working or learning environment is crucial because it affects our health, performance and well-being. Consequently, we looked at how much time it takes to clean an average home in a week. Based on various data, we arrived at 4 hours per week.

People who have attended our cleaning courses have provided feedback on what changes they have experienced after putting their newly acquired knowledge into practice. The biggest change is the reduced time cost. Feedback shows that with a conscious approach, cleaning your home will take 2.5 hours instead of 4. This saves 78 hours per year. When translated into working hours, it is like getting 10 extra days off per year. In addition to the hours saved, the cleaning process is much easier and more enjoyable. People are more informed about selecting the appropriate cleaning agents and accessories and know how to spot and remove soiling more effectively.

According to Statistics Estonia, there were 632,400 households in Estonia in 2022. If 1.5 hours a week were saved on cleaning each home, this would collectively save 5639 years.
